內容簡介News that a ?320m deal looks set to rekindle the region's proud steel-making industry has been given a unanimous welcome. Thailand's biggest steel producer, SSI, has announced plans to take over the Teesside Cast Products operation after signing a memorandum of understanding with Corus. Corus chief executive Kirby Adams and SSI president Win Viriyaprapaikit signed on the dotted line of the MoU yesterday (25th August). If successfully concluded the deal is expected to create a "significant" number of new jobs at the plant.
