內容簡介Saturday 14th November was the date when The NW branch of the IRE held this years annual branch dinner dance. The venue was the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Chester and the event was as always well attended. We decided to limit this years event to 200 people to make the venue more comfortable for everyone and this worked well. Branch Chairman David Jarvis introduced as his guests for the evening Mr and Mrs John Coppack. John is with Thermal Ceramics and for over 15 years was branch secretary and treasurer assisted by his wife Maureen. Also present as guests of the branch were Mr and Mrs Peter Rooney. Peter is this years National President and made a short address to the assembled gathering while his wife Jo started the raffle off. As always thanks go to the companies and individuals who provide support to the branch and the Institutes local activities. These include in reverse alphabetical order Vesuvius who now claim to be the biggest refractory company in the world.
