內容簡介ZrB_2 is known to possess high temperature resistance (>3000 deg C), high electrical conductivity of the same order as that of iron, and high corrosion resistance to molten metal and slug. Adding a certain amount of ZrO_2 and a small amount of SiO_2 to ZrB_2, we developed a ZrB_2-ZrO_2 castable which was expected to have high corrosion resistance and a low enough electrical conductivity. The new castable exhibited high corrosion resistance to molten iron and slug in a cyclic corrosion test.
