內容簡介The reliability of the three-point bending test for monolithic refractories with coarse aggregates is discussed based on the results of an investigation of the relation between the three-point bending test for refractories using a standard brick shape test specimen and the four-point bending test for construction concrete using a standardized test piece. The Weibull plot of the strength in three-point bending was converted into the value corresponding to a four-point bending test on the basis of the effective volume. The converted three-point data was overlaid on the Weibull plot of the data obtained by the four-point bending test. The conversion of the three-point bending strength data into equivalent four-point bending strength revealed that the three-point bending test was a simple and highly reliable test suitable for monolithic refractories with coarse aggregates.
